Finals week on the nerdy campus. (It's not in the Nerdy Nine - yet - but it's a newbie contender.) Studious gamers' nerdvana. Lots of bad shoes, neck beards, Korean and Chinese language, and quite a few hijabs. Then suddenly, down the walkway comes a fresh breeze. It's a gaggle of gals fresh out of snoburbia, fit, smiling, with long hair, blonde and brown. Couldn't have stood out more if they had tried. Then I saw one of them had a jacket on with a team logo: the women's lacrosse team.

Forgive me for not knowing this (I live, as I've often said, in Outer Snoburbia--Olney), but what schools are in the Nerdy Nine? And what school is the one referred to in this blog?

I looked up the Nerdy Nine and, would you believe, I'm a graduate of one of them. I had NO idea. . .

I love this site. I wrote a fictional book about Swankville and was totally persecuted. People in my town claimed I was writing about them and that Swankville was the town I live in when it's based on situations that happened here but all characters are fictional. Sometimes people don't understand satire. You do it very well.
