From my friends' Facebook posts, a cornucopia of typical snoburbia weekend activities:
• Dropped daughter off at a Bat Mitzvah. Now to boxing class.
• Husband crushed his PR at the National Marathon this morning.
• Daughter stroked the novice eight - won the regatta this morning.
• Off to The Container Store and Trader Joe's.
• Son plays FC Westchester (Scarsdale).
• Ready for Earth Hour tonight.
• Off to North Oldham to watch son play lacrosse.

What! No daughter to ballet! No child of either sex to piano or violin! What is this world coming to--or are they all so yesterday?

Doris notes that this family has no musical errands on the weekend. In my experience, snoburban families are more likely to do sports or music once you get to the high school level, but less likely to do both. Not just because that would be surreally busy, but because there are hierarchies in all things, and reaching the heights of both music and sports is really, really tough. Even in snoburbia.

But what specifically did they buy at Trader Joe's? (and was it one of the locations with ethanol available?)
And they're still using Facebook, not tweeting? How 2010.

The daughter who went to the Bat Mitzvah is 12-14, so she could still be doing ballet or piano or flute or something like that.

Proof that I am both within and without snoburbia. Geographically, I'm wannabe snoburbia or lesser snoburbia. Just one tax bracket away!
This weekend: went to DC for dinner and a show, hosted a game of Dungeons and Dragons. Woot!
