If you are an overclass trophy wife with a matching teenage trophy daughter, you must shop at South Moon Under, in the Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda. I've never seen so much expensive blonde hair (perfect highlights, blown out straight) in one place.

Clueless guy here asking for help. My non-trophy wife used to like stuff at anthropologie back when they had a store on the 'Pike. Hence, an easy gift card opportunity to suggest to even more clueless gift purchasers. Now...not so much. Looks like this place caters to a similar but not-quite-the-same demographic. So if you were an anthropologie fan in 2008 (but mostly for stuff on sale), what would be the 2010 updated recommendation? I am lucky in that I know basically what she would like if I see it, but it's not clear to me where to look.
This may sound a bit thin, but I am willing to bet somebody out there has an answer.

There are Anthropologie stores in Friendship Heights and on M Street, and also one at Tysons, but it requires crossing the border into D.C., or [shudder] Virginia.

Clueless guy - your wife may like World Market - one is at Friendship Heights right on the border. If she like Anthropologie before it changed, she may also like shopping at Eastern Market and you can buy a gift certificate for that redeemable at the various vendors.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaa! I love you, snoburbia. I work near this place, but live in PG County. I laugh at these bleachy-haired women buying overpriced picture frames all the time. You know, while I'm picking up my sushi from Balducci's ...

I love this shopping center in Bethesda. I have a lot of fun and unforgettable shopping experiences with my cousins here.

FYI Giada DiLaurentiis' husband Todd Thompson is a designer for Anthropologie (now isn't your life richer & fuller for knowing that?).
