A 16-year-old boy was talking with his mother about the Mercedes he drives.
Boy: Mom - can I have some money for gas?
Mom: What? I gave you $35 earlier this week.
Boy: But this car needs premium!

Why doesn't little Binkley Oglethorpe have his own credit card already?
That family clearly is missing a few status symbols.
If they were really upscale, they'd have an account at the local Shell station.

Even I have a credit card that is only used for gas and groceries/food and other little things that my parents know and approve of. Though I do still ask for gas money from time to time... the cheapest gas station around is Free State, which is cash only. Plus, having divorced parents, means that even if my mom pays for the credit card, I still ask dad for gas money, and he gives it, because he knows my mom can't do it alone.
